On August 21, 2017, we lost Tim Eckels Jr., in the USS John S. McCain accident. It's a day we will always remember and reflect on a life that meant a tremendous amount to a lot of people, whether Tim Jr., was a loved one, friend, shipmate or classmate.
We are truly honored each and every time we hear stories of how much he meant to so many people and want Pipe The Side Brewing Company to honor Tim Jr.’s memory and the many qualities he possessed forward in our business’ culture.
Rest easy, bud. We have the watch.
Tim and Carol...we're just two regular people who enjoy hiking, camping, music, art, reading and naps. We also loosely, occaisionally follow sports.
We're happy to talk about craft beer, but we're much more interested in talking about how we think our tiny brewery can make a big impact within the community and hopefully effect some change within the industry. We're probably too old to have PTSBCo grow into the next, commercial craft brewery, but we're not too old to make a difference.
Whether it's roadside clean-up, park clean-up or supporting local organizations through event participation and fundraising efforts, we believe wholeheartedly in being active and supportive community members. Our community involvement also extends to the business community, whether it's supporting local restaurants with our Local Eats Discount or local makers with our Maker Nights.
We truly mean it when we say "Communities grow best, when they grow together." and we're committed to showing that through our time and financial support.
With our beers you won't find a draft list dominated by smoothie sours, cereal beers or beers with high ABVs...but what you will find is an approachable rotation of classic, sometimes historic, with an occasional trendy style mixed in. We promise that each of our beers are made with the highest quality ingredients without cutting any corners along the way and we hope that these things show through in the finished product.
